About Me
A Very Short Story
My passion for childhood education was greatly influenced by my mother, who taught elementary school for 30+ years. She noticed and championed my education-centric dreams and allowed me to flex my teaching muscles from a very young age. I assisted her with lesson planning, tutoring, designing student projects, grading assignments, preparing for Back to School Nights, and even delivering live classroom instruction in basic math.
Encouraged by my mother's unwavering support, I chartered an academic and professional course that would prepare me for my own career in elementary education and childhood development. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development at Sonoma State University, I completed the Multiple Subject Teacher Credential Program at San Diego State as well as my Master's Degree in Teaching with a K-12 Language Arts Concentration.
Beyond all things teaching, my personal interests include Southern California (born & raised!), cooking, biking, Netflix, Trader Joe's and trying to keep my plants alive for as long as possible.
All good things,
Alexis
